Caroline will offer thoughts on what licensed businesses should do to ensure they effectively manage their cyber risk. She will also provide an overview of Deloitte’s end-to-end cyber portfolio and where our cyber professionals see the most significant issues in the financial services industry.

Mark Whitehead, a Director who leads Deloitte’s Customer Breach Support service, will provide an overview of cyber crises, using recent case studies to highlight the impact of these events. He will specifically focus on the customer impact of a breach given GDPR requirements.  Mark will discuss the operational and reputational factors that all organisations need to think about to ensure they are prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to data breach incidents.

Caroline joined Deloitte in January 2019, following 1 year at the JFSC and over 10 years’ working for the UK Government on national security and cyber investigations. Caroline has a particular interest in cyber strategy including cyber risk management and cyber incident response. She works on projects with Deloitte UK cyber specialists and delivers end-to-end cyber services for our Channel Islands clients.

Mark is a Director specialising in the Managed Risk Services business in the UK and leads the Customer Breach Support service. Mark advises clients in the event of a data breach, in particular around customer communications, notification, support and ID protection, building on the Cyber and Privacy work of the wider firm.
